New 'sona

Our internet went down for a while tonight after a huge storm, so I couldn't work on trades/xchange pic/chibis. Instead I had to do something which really needed to be done.

Namely sketch up my new fursona.

I've been thinking about it a lot lately. Anyone who hasn't read my anti wolfsona rant has probably been hiding under a rock (to clarify I don't hate wolfsonas, I just wish that there weren't so many). And Taeli has never really represented me, she's just a character that I picked out of convenience because she was a wolf. I got caught up in the "ohmigodswolf" mood. And then Taeli got steadily madder, and I discovered my dæmon Lutheus, and I didn't need Tae as a fursona any more.

I've been thinking of just having Lutheus as my mascot here, but I don't think that it would really work, having a male mascot. Also binturongs are hard to draw all the time And I've always loved striped possums, and they're Australian, and obscure, and if Luth wasn't such a bintie he'd probably be one.

So this is my striped possum. It's basically the same as any striped possum. All I've added is the blue on the ears, because I do have blue streaked hair. This is what is me on DA. Tae is still around, she's my main character, and I still love her. I've just finally gotten around to retiring her from fursonaness.
